IAMS Sponsoring Friends is a new initiative for the month of May that connects real people to real pets through online sponsorship.
IAMS understands that while there may be room in your heart there isn’t always room in your home. To give animal lovers across the country a chance to show their love for pets in need, IAMS is partnering with the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies (CFHS) to introduce this new program.
Canadians can sponsor pets from a participating shelter of their choice, helping to keep animals healthy and happy until they are adopted into a loving, well-matched home. For each online donation made, new ‘Pet Parents’ will receive an IAMS Sponsoring Friends Certificate, complete with a photo and facts about their new furry friend.
IAMS Sponsoring Friends will direct much-needed online donations from new ‘Sponsor Parents’ to participating animal shelters across Canada – animal lovers can visit the website, select a shelter, choose to sponsor either a dog or a cat and indicate a donation level. According to the CFHS, an online donation of 15 dollars can feed a shelter pet for one month, while a larger online donation of 50 dollars can feed a pet for one month, and also provide vaccinations and microchip identification.
